The Alpha Jacket is specifically engineered for military and law enforcement applications. It's a highly durable, yet very light, waterproof-breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX XCR shell that's loaded with the technical innovations that Arc'teryx is renowned for. Our WaterTight zippers and Dry Cuffs seal out rain and snow, and the stowable hood is quickly adjusted with one hand. Highly articulated patterning allows for unrestricted movement, and the trim, anatomical cut won't interfere with gear in the field. The Alpha is highly compressible and can pack easily for quick, effective protection in nasty weather.

This Goretex is more durable than the average jacket. When it rains, it pours, and this bad boy will keep you dry without a doubt. A "gucci" piece of kit that can be easily stowed in a patrol bag. The hood is tops, and can be configured to fit either your kevlar helmet or your own dome. The pockets are great, and even though the jacket is triple layered Goretex, the pockets are not, so a paper document could get wet if it's pouring out. Other than that, this outter shell will keep you dry, and that is what counts "in the field". I have this paired with the Arc'teryx Atom AF insulated jacket as a mid layer, and combined it's a rock solid system when things get cold at night let me tell you(winter approved). Being from Canada and serving and as CF Sniper, we take our kit as serious as our skill sets. On your guts for days on end, you don't want to be thinking if your clothing kit (1st line) is going to fail you while on a mission. Made to the highest standards, close attention to detail and made in Canada, I recommend this jacket. Deliberate Dynamics come through for the warriors on the front and on the homeland.
